I was reared as a “Tennerican”, part Tennessean, part Puerto Rican. But truth be known, I was born Korean. I was adopted and loved by my parents in a rural, East Tennessee town called Newport. Now that I am the biological mother of two beautiful children, I am beginning to wonder about my birth heritage, though I would never give up the time I’ve spent so far as a Tennerican. This blog explores my thoughts as I ponder my past and my future.
